This sample demonstrates and describes how to use different levels of headings in APA format. If you have more than one appendix you would name the first appendix Appendix A, the second Appendix B, etc. Your research paper ends with a list of all the sources cited in the text of the paper.

The appendix research paper is located near the end of the essay, right before the Footnotes section (if you have this section, of course). Let’s take an example. You are discussing a topic like “Nanotechnology in medicine,” and you reach a point where some technical information about nanovesicles is required.

At a minimum, your paper may consist of a title page, abstract, main text, and reference section. Also, if your paper does not contain tables, figures, or footnotes, then the appendix would follow the references. Never include an appendix containing information that is not referred to in your text.

An appendix section comes after the reference section in the APA paper or at the end of the academic paper. Like the reference part in APA, students should write an appendix on a new page, where each type of information gets an appendix. Basically, the appendix section can have one appendix or more than one, thus appendices.
